E-200 ESTIMATE REVIEW DESK

A second set of eyes before the bid goes out.

Send the plans and your numbers. You get back a marked-up estimate: quantities checked, missing scope listed, margin confirmed. In English or Spanish.

E-201 WHAT GETS CHECKED

Four passes on every estimate

E-201

Quantities

Every line re-measured from the plans: concrete by the centerline, walls net of openings, rebar and lumber by cut pattern, waste in its own column.

E-202

Missing scope

The items small estimates forget: permits, inspections, dumpsters, fasteners, sealants, temporary power, cleanup, and what your bid excludes in writing.

E-203

Margin

Markup vs. margin checked against your overhead, so the price you send is the profit you meant.

E-204

Risk notes

Assumptions marked, prices older than 60 days flagged, and the three lines most likely to move.

  • Your estimate or takeoff in Excel, Google Sheets or PDF.
  • Your bid date and anything the owner already told you.
  • What you want checked most: quantities, scope, or price.

E-206 PRICING

Pricing

E-207 QUESTIONS

Who does the review?

I do, with my estimating system doing the counting first. I build houses in the Rio Grande Valley and estimate my own jobs this way.

Do you use my prices or yours?

Yours. I check quantities, scope and math. Your market and your suppliers set your prices. I will flag a price that looks out of line and tell you why.

What kind of jobs?

Residential new construction, additions, remodels, and small commercial finish-outs. Concrete, framing, drywall, roofing and finishes. Not MEP design or engineering.

Is this an engineering or code review?

No. It is an estimating review. Structural, code and permit questions go to your engineer and your building department.

Can you review in Spanish?

Yes. Send it in English or Spanish and get the notes back in the language you want.
